It is Wal-Mart's round in The Consumerist's Worst Company in America competition. Right now Wal-Mart is leading TJ Maxx 81% to 19%. If the Debbie Shank case wasn't enough of a reason to vote for Wal-Mart, here are a few more of Wal-Mart's credentials:
- Wal-Mart forces their associates to work off the clock for no pay
- Wal-Mart is sued by the DOJ for refusing to rehire an Airman who was deployed
- Wal-Mart discriminates against an associate because he looks middle eastern, and eventually fires him
- Wal-Mart fires an associate for using his wheel chair after not processing the paperwork he put in to use his wheel chair
There are a lot more stories like this, but we think you get the idea. Go vote for The Consumerist Worst Company in America!
