Video from American News Project

Check out this piece about Wal-Mart's illegal political meetings from the American News Project. In particular take note of the comments they got from folks they talked to outside of Wal-Mart. The consensus from regular people is "Wal-Mart should stay out of politics." We agree, and we also think they should stop union bashing and they should treat their workers better...much much better.

As I have stated numerous times before, but the UFCW just isn't getting, is that by having this website up all it is doing for at least NUMEROUS people, including myself, is make them more ANTI-UNIONS and ANTI-UFCW!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA For example, I work for Walmart and love it. However, I did used to shop at unionized grocery stores just out of convenience like if they were closer or whatever. But NOT ANYMORE. And because of their reporting of stories such as this one. I actually am now informed of their EXTREME LEFT AGENDA and will be voting republican when I probably would have voted for OBAMA!!

In other words by making a website such as this, which is nothing short of economic terrorism and blatant hatred focused towards a single company in the hopes that they will be able to turn walmart associates into future $$$$ for themselves in the form of union dues, they are simply turning a bunch of people off! If you don't believe me then go back and read the comments of the last 30 stories or so. They are about 50/50 for and against there viewpoint. So for all their effort they are creating as many enemies as they are allies and all I am wondering is: What is the point of it all? It just doesn't make sense to me and neither does the union. I personally, and I can only speak for myself, SINCERELY hope they never get their grubby hands on unon dues from walmart associates!

Or, this website is working extremely well, seeing as how pro-Walmart folks like yourself read it religiously. The sheer volume of comments against the website just goes to show how afraid Walmart is. Otherwise they (and their lower-management morons like you) wouldn't spend so much time writing comments.

If this site was ineffective, you'd ignore it. If this site was harming the anti-Walmart movement, you'd sit back and let it destroy itself. In fact, the reverse is true:

When I first stumbled onto this site I saw it as a humorous novelty. I've never cared for Walmart, but I've never cared for the UFCW either (sorry guys, but you left me out to dry back in the early 90's.)

But as I read the comments, I was appalled -- not because people disagreed, but because of their hateful and murderous bile. The most amazing was the commenter who quoted the bible and said the folks who run the site deserved to be in hell.

Really? For speaking their minds? For organizing a LEGAL grassroots effort against an entity they think is harming America? For exercising free speech -- the most important right we have??

Apparently, you couldn't simply support Walmart. Instead, you had to insult -- and more importantly, THREATEN -- the folks that run this site. That's the real economic terrorism -- It's called SLAPP.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SLAPP

And you, the guy who claimed a few days ago that he's suing the website, are guilty of it.

All the lies and invective you and your greedy sycophants have hurled at this site have pissed me off enough to get involved. And there will be others.

Comment again and prove me right.

OH POOR, POOR MOTHERSHIP! YOU HAVE RESPONDED IN THE PAST TO MY COMMENTS AND ARE ALWAYS LIKE! "HAHAHA LET ME THINK OF SOME WITTY LITTLE COMMENT AND THEN YOU WILL HAVE NO COMEBACK AT ALL BECAUSE I AM ALWAYS RIGHT!!

Dude, or dudette, you couldn't be farther from the truth. I come to this website SIMPLY as nothing more than daily entertainment! I literally can not believe some of the crap, in my opinion I would HONESTLY say that about 95% of this website is PURE BS!!. Now listen I am going off of what I PERSONALLY know to be true. I can not and will not claim that things that people claim happen to them have not happened but I CAN ABSOLUTELY WITHOUT A SHADOW OF A DOUBT SAY I HAVE NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER experienced ANY of the stuff this website claims the "EVIL" corporation Walmart does to their workers! In other words the stuff this site claims IS NOT RAMPANT WITHIN WALMART!! I work hard and get paid AND TREATED well. I have worked there for around 13 years and get paid about $17.00/hr in one of the poorest 5 states in the nation. I am hourly and have NEVER been mistreated or gotten in trouble 1 single time in the MULTIPLE Walmart stores I have worked for.

So trust me when I say this MOTHERSHIP! There is absolutely NO WAY that anyone is going to convince me that Walmart is bad unless I experience these things for myself. In the stores I have worked for I have never known anyone who was treated unfairly or fired because of anything they were not TOTALLY responsible for themselves. Like they were caught on camera stealing or whatever.

In conclusion, and say or reply what you want to this comment mothership but it won't sway me in any way whatsoever, I will admit that there are probably things walmart does wrong from time to time and people probably do get treated unfairly from time to time. But I can guarantee you that it has happened in UNION stores too. I know people from union stores that have had bad things happen to them. For example, they will promote some dumb$#!@ for the sole reason they have been there forever when someone else was more qualified and would have done a MUCH better job. You simply hear about it more because walmart has 10 times the employees(not sure if that's accurate but surely you get the point) than the entire union! Basically all I am trying to say is that I am not SHACKLED to the shelves in my job and can leave at anytime but I would be a DAMN FOOL to do so. WALMART IS NOT EVIL OR BAD. TAKE IT FROM SOMEONE WHO HAS WORKED THERE FOR OVER A DECADE AND KNOWS THE TRUTH PEOPLE!! The UFCW simply wants the UNION DUES from Walmart so they can lobby congress further and end up screwing up Walmart and eventually the entire retail industry just like the rest of the unions in the history of the US have eventually done. Everything the unions are claiming that walmart does wrong is already covered by EXISTING LAWS!

LOL by the way MOTHERSHIP! Thanks for the MORON comment! Once again you couldn't be further from the truth. I have 4.0 GPA in college and an IQ of around 130(140 or above is consider genius or near genius usually) so I am basically in the upper few % range of anyone! So if I am a moron what does that make everyone else!!

But oh well I am mature enough to let it go and won't comment or fight with you further. Because I don't think we will ever be on the same level anyway!

Have a nice day Mothershp!! :)

I have never experienced murder, but I don't accuse the families of murder victims of lying.

I have never been robbed, and yet people get robbed all the time.

I have never been to Eastern Europe, and yet the conflict in Georgia continues.

You see, that's one of the things that separate us from the animals: We have the ability to put ourselves in someone else's shoes. We have the ability to see outside our own living rooms, and acknowledge those who do not fit our little piece of the world.

But only if we choose to do so.

Instead, you choose to ignore them. You choose to ignore any piece of information that does not protect your job. You value your paycheck over anything else. You hope and pray that you'll make upper-management before your job gets outsourced or devalued too. Let's hope for your sake upper-management values you more than you value those even farther down the corporate ladder.

There are two types of people in this world: There are those who, having succeeded, try to help those below them.

And there are those, like you, who immediately haul up the ladder so that no one else can climb up and succeed the way you did.

That is, if hourly-paid lower-management can be considered "success."

By the way, someone with a 4.0 GPA would have better grammar and spelling. For example, when you recently told me my answer "made no since."

And someone with a 130 IQ would realize that even though many things Walmart does are "already covered by EXISTING LAWS," Walmart often avoids the law through settlements and gag agreements. Legal settlements are not bad per se, but can be used conspiratorially to hide a company's tracks and keep the public from finding out just how bad that company really is.

It's especially bad when the settlement is conducted under duress, for example when the team of well-dressed lawyers shows up in the home of a single mother who barely speaks English, and tells her she can take the small check for 1/100 of the cost of her injuries, or she can be countersued for millions.

But then, that's Corporate America's bread and butter. Walmart just happens to be king.
