Today's Wal-Mart Legal News

It seems like most of the big stories about Wal-Mart recently have involved lawsuits in some way. And so, building off of yesterday's news, here are a few more legal stories:

In today's legal news, Wal-Mart has been sued for a second time for allegedly being in cahoots with Netflix. This suit is seeking class action status and claims, like the previous suit, that an agreement was reached between Wal-Mart and Netflix whereby Wal-Mart would not run a movie rental service and Netflix would promote Wal-Mart for buying DVDs.

Also an elderly Wal-Mart greeter who was shoved to the ground by a police officer is suing the city and the police officer for $21 million. Apparently the greeter asked to see the police officers receipt upon exiting the store but the officer walked around him. When the greeter persisted, the officer pushed him very roughly to the floor.
